Dapper

I just realized the other day that Skye hasn't made an appearance on the blog in a while. So while I was home on my day off, I made sure to snap her modeling my new vintage hat.

She is as cute as ever and doesn't look like she just turned 11. It makes me feel so old esp since I can remember clearly the day we brought her home as a puppy... And that she is getting up there in years for little dogs...

Oh well! On a happier note- A new vintage dress came my way! It is a vintage sized 9 and in amazing condition. I'm so happy I am able to squeeze my squishy, curvy self into it!

But enough for now! I'm off to burn more DVD's for camp.

Just a little something...

Earlier this summer, a film maker friend and I went out to a feild we like to keep secret at that magic hour just before sunset. We ended up just messing around and trying some diffent things with the sun and our surroundings. One day while bored, I just edited some of the footage together and ended up with this. I hope you enjoy it!

In the woods...

... there is very little room for fashion. I try though! But I've discovered when working as a photographer, no one ever really is there to take pictures of you. Ah well! Occasionally on my days off the cameras turn around.

I have not much excuse this time for not commenting on other peoples blogs or even posting for that matter. Because I am on the computer rather a lot and I have been taking a bunch of pics, just not fashion/ outfit posts though.

But the outdoors is good inspiration for fashion. Such as this-

And I've learned to rock the Native American look and war paint-

More post to come.

Perfection for $2.99

A random, unplanned visit to a Salvation Army store the other day brought about this lovely vintage find. It's a lovely juniors 70's mini dress that fits amazingly. Has officially become the perfect summer dress in my wardrobe! Too bad I don't have any music festivals to wear it to...

Anyway, for any people who are still reading this despite my lack of posts, things have been a little busy what with me preparing for my videographer job at a camp near me. But I've still been taking a bunch of pics of outfits and of all the places I want to share with you. They will show up in time :)

Blooming Bloomers!

While taking a look through Target the other day, I happened open the Tracy Feith Go International Collection. Me and my friend immediately went gaga over most of the collection which is chalk full of cute girly dresses and adorable prints. Then in the back rack, we stumbled upon something unexpected... in shock and awe, I grabbed it in my side and ran to the dressing room still trying to comprehend what I was seeing...

At first they just look like harmless innocent shorts poking out from under a tunic top...

But on closer inspection....

They are bloomer shorts!

Surprisingly, they weren't as unflattering as I was sure they were going to be! They are the perfect thing to wear under short dresses or in my case, something cute other than spandex to wear when swing dancing. But the $30 price wasn't as cute to me, so hopefully they will still be around when they go on sale.

But I didn't leave the store empty handed. Back on a 75% off rack I found this amazing harness dress for only $10! One word to describe it would be 'Fierce'.

What's not so fierce at the moment is the mess in my room... so now I'm off to conquer that.
I smell a closet clean out happening soon...

Summer Freedom

I was going to write something... but then I just decided to let the pictures do their own talking.

Stop. Hammer Time.

Today I wore my vintage cardigan that my friend has dubbed 'The crazy cat lady print, MC Hammer pant style armpit top.'

I don't care how strange it looks. It's comfy and almost makes me love things that came out of the 80's. Like me.
